Canada Baskets · Christmas 2026 · Christmas Day is a Friday
Everything for getting a basket under someone's tree in time: the last day to order for cities from Whitehorse to Halifax, the gifts that sold best in past Christmas seasons, grouped by price, and how businesses plan their December gifting. Thursday, December 24 is the final delivery day before the holiday.

Enter where the basket is going and the store's delivery service replies with the first day it can reach that address. A date on or before Thursday, December 24 means a Christmas arrival; a later one means ordering sooner, or sending it as a Boxing Week surprise instead.
Beyond the Greater Toronto Area and Greater Vancouver, baskets travel by courier Monday to Friday, and an order placed before 2 p.m. ships the same day.
Couriers do not deliver on weekends, and with December 25 on a Friday, Thursday, December 24 is the last day a basket can reach its recipient. Each date below is the final weekday to order, before 2 p.m., for a courier city; it allows for the longest transit the delivery service quoted there.
Transit can take 2 to 8 business days, so get the order in on Monday, December 14.

These twelve baskets were each ordered for Christmas in at least two of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons, and all are in stock today. One of them outsold the others by a clear margin and wears the top rank; the rest have no rank and are simply grouped by current price.

Canada Baskets orders from November 1 to December 24 in 2023, 2024 and 2025, compared with all orders 2023–2025 where that adds something.
Six things that orders across the Christmas seasons 2023–2025 point to.
39% of Christmas orders included wine, more than the 32% across all orders 2023–2025. Start with the Christmas wine gift baskets; for beer or spirits fans there are the Christmas beer baskets and Christmas liquor baskets.
12% of Christmas orders had champagne or sparkling wine in them. The Premium Sparkling Wine Gift Basket Featuring Bamboo Cheese Board and Salami is one of this guide's picks, and the Christmas champagne baskets hold more.
For a family with kids, a shared office or anyone who skips alcohol: the Christmas Santa Pants Gourmet Chocolate Gift Bag ($66.99) has none, nor do two of the picks above. More are in the alcohol-free Christmas baskets and the Christmas spa and bath baskets.
48% of final-week orders held a Christmas-themed basket, compared with 13% of November orders. Early in the season any well-chosen basket works; close to the day, buyers lean towards holiday themes.
98% of Christmas orders were for a single gift and 2% for two or more. Sending to many people at once? See the business section next.
Only 9% of Christmas orders were placed on a weekend. Couriers rest on Saturday and Sunday, so a weekend order waits until Monday, which can cost a day when an order-by date is close.
In the Christmas seasons 2023–2025, companies sent 51% of the orders, against 39% across all orders 2023–2025, and they plan ahead: 60% of their Christmas orders were placed more than two weeks before December 25 and only 9% in the final week, compared with 29% of other customers' orders.
